New 3rd Gen Owner, 2nd RX-7
My name is Glen and I live in NW Wisconsin. I had a 1989 RX-7 when I was 19 and didn't treat it very well and it eventually broke down for good. I always loved the handling and the power of it and long dreamt of getting another one. A few months ago I scoped ebay and found a 1994 touring I really liked. I drove 20 hours straight to pick it up and drive it back. It's Montego blue, completely bone stock, and 47k miles on it. I have to say I fell in love the second I drove it. I'd have to say that it is my dream car. I will definitely treat this one better than my previous one. I don't plan to do any mods, other than reliability mods. It's plenty fast in stock form for me.

That is the problem with low mileage cars. I've mentioned that to a few others on here that were looking to buy one with super low mileage. It is nice to have it clean and not all worn out, but it also sucks because everytime you want to drive it, you have to stop and think about if racking up the miles is worth it.
You almost need to buy another 7 (with more miles on it). Drive the high mileage one when you get the itch to go for a spin and save the other for meets and the occasional weekend drive.

Oh it for sure is a weekend driver. I live on the shores of Lake Superior and it's a nice car to take a drive up the shore in. I figure if I can keep it under 3k miles a year, that should satisfy my need.

Random Thought
I was thinking last night that over the years I have compared sports car I've owned to my 89 FC. It's like the gold standard. I have an Acura RSX and it's not even fun to drive anymore since I got my FD. I had a Talon TSI and it just didn't fill that void either. Too bad the "there is no substitute" slogan is for a Porsche, because I always felt that way about my RX-7.

@Domo762 - Thats what the guy who sold it to me said too. He had other people interested in the car, but he liked my dedication to it.
@kondypl - I don't plan to do anything other than some reliability mods to it. It's fine in stock form for me. Since it's not a daily driver, I don't see the point in doing massive power upgrades. If the motor pops, then I might think about making it breathe easier and a FMIC.
