My first Rotary! 1993 fd3s RHD

Hello everyone!

Just purchased my first Rotary / Rx7 in this month (June 2018). It's a RHD 1993 Montego Blue Mica with 53K original miles. Plan for the beginning is really getting the OEM equipment out ( Radiator, Intercooler, hoses and lines) and upgrading them to more reliable materials. Keeping the Stock twins ( probably forever) or possibly with a twin upgrade in the future. I'm just planning to enjoy the car, not really interested in a power monster as i drive a 550AWHP Sti for that type of fun!

Beautiful. Have you driven it yet? How is the RHD?

Does the RHD feel strange to drive hard on the street. I've heard its harder to place the car and sketchy around curves with oncoming traffic.

It's no more or less dangerous driving a rhd car in America nor is it any more difficult. Drive/own one and see for yourself. It's just the same as a lhd.

Congratulations on your purchase. You have a really clean car to start with. Just maintain it and treat it right and you'll be fine. Your intentions seem to be going in the right direction.

Thanks everyone! I've now owned the car for about 2 months. Loads of fun! RHD was interesting at first. I find myself pushing towards the left side of the lanes. SO that took some getting used to.

Currently, I'm working on the last few pieces / upgrades before getting it tuned in the states. I'm unsure of what the ECU is currently doing, and the PFC commander is less than user friendly but some bigger injectors, fuel pump and a more resilient intercooler is last on the list. Seems the previous owner upgraded to Samco hoses, hard piping throughout and already had the high temp / new vacuum lines which were all in great shape.

Picked up a new HKS 3inch downpipe, a used 3 inch stainless / cat-less mid-pipe and an used Apexi N1 Evolution cat back exhaust for a total of like $600. I'll upload pictures of the items when I get a chance.

I have a RHD car coming in 2 months. I don't think RHD is as big of a deal as people make it out to be. I love the car!
