CA Mint FD Shell Possible Purchase

Hey guys! I'm new to this forum as I'm possibly picking up a mint 1993 FD RX-7 Shell. I was just curious as to what I should look for in a shell. The car has 60k miles, is a clean title, and overall looks like a very nice car. Is there anything I should specifically check before purchase? Thank you guys and can't wait to get this build started!

I'll try to get some pictures of the car later on next week and post them up.

13b REW, keeping her rotary! I plan on rebuilding it before I put it back into the car. I'll have to find an engine though somehow...

I just bought my shell as well, have not yet decided which route i was going take. Either ls1 or keeping it rotary. Love the sound of the rotary but not its reliabilty.

I have no experience with rotaries but if you we're to keep it rotary build reliability/safety before power. I'd go fuel or cooling mods first. Get a standalone ecu, like a haltech, with a wahlbro 45 fuel pump. Then get a fat 3 row aluminum koyo radiator, get a cheap ebay intercooler cause I've heard they work great. So you'll have the fuel overhead+cooling mods(rotaries tend to get hot) and then from there you can start looking into exhausts+turbos etc.. I'm going single turbo because of the sound/power, but also because they give off less heat then the stock twins. I for one can't wait to pick up a 13b and tear it apart, looks like fun. I agree that the sound of a rotary is literally to die for, nothing comes close to it. Congratulations on the shell by the way, shoot some pics over!

Thank you! Gotta love a new paint job, and nardo grey at that! I would go for it, I think grey looks great on FD's. Definitely get pics up this weekend I'd love to see it.

I agree with you Big ****, I saw a nardo grey FD at TX2k last year. It was so sick... (I think it was an LS swap) but still looked really good.

Such a complimentary color for the car. I mean, honestly, FD's look great in damn near every color haha.

Here are a few pictures of the car. It's a 93 touring model, 60k on chassis, rolling shell. What do you guys think? I have big plans for this car. Appreciate any feedback/concerns. Thank you all and I'm excited to begin this journey with the car!
