TX Michele with 1979 RX7

Hi, I am Michele. I live in Austin TX. I have a 1979 RX7 that has been sitting in my garage. I have kept it for years thinking I would drive it again but have recently made the decision I will probably never restore it. I am trying to figure out if it has any value and the best way to sell it.

Any information and advise would be helpful.

Thanks very much,

Michele

Hi Michele, welcome to the forum. It definately has value. If you post up some pictures the folks here can give you a better idea of what to ask for it. Pictures of body, engine, interior will help. Mileage, any damages, history, will also help. Cars in very good original condition can sell for 10K or more on epay, and non-running parts cars still bring money ($500-1000). There are many, many fans of these cars and you will get calls if you advertise in the big city papers (Houston, Dallas, etc). I flew to get mine, and drove 7 hours back with it.

Thanks for the information. I will post more when I can get it out of my garage to get pictures. I think the parking brake is stuck :-( I jacked up all the wheels and the passenger rear will not move. Is there a way to easily unstick the parking brake? LOL

My father was the original owner. The car has 80K miles. It was wrecked in the early eighty's and fixed. I have not driven it in years and don't really want to try to start it without a professional looking at it first. It has been kept in my garage. The interior should be in good shape.

Thanks again!

Welcome. The advice above is good advice. Post pictures of all areas of the car, and provide as much history as you can on the car in the past and in it's current state. The car will have some value and would definitely be worth restoring!
