Question 1981 Mazda RX-7

Hi guys... im new to the forum. I am the original owner of a 1981 mazda rx-7. It has 42000 original miles, and is in superb condition. I just replaced the original set of tires about a year ago. There is absolutely no rust on the car, and it has spent most of it's life stored in my garage. While in storage, it has been started/driven at least once a month, just to maintin it's condition. My question is this, what is this car worth? It has been babied, and looks nearly perfect. I am considering trying to sell it for the first time, probably not until spring though, and i have no idea what it is actually worth. It is hard to compare, because most of the 81s i find are loaded up with miles and trashed. Any thoughts on what it might be worth? THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!

Sounds like a real gem you've got there. Is it a GSL? AT or MT? Options? It's hard to say without knowing the details, but IMHO I would think in the ballpark of $5k. A GSL with all the options would probably fetch more. I guarantee if you post some pictures, you'll get a ton of feedback from people much more knowledgeable than myself. Good luck!

I would agree with Wankelstein......expect it could sell for 5k or more if it is all original and in excellent condition. Cars like this are getting hard to find. Look forward to seeing some pictures.
