NE Man Rescues rx7 From V8 Swap

Hi guys i am new to rx7,s i have been through DSM's and Hondas. I am currently trying to acquire a 88 GTU that some one was going to do a LS1 swap. And i just think that's wrong but to each his own i am a semi purest and think it should stay piston free. but I also have some plans for it i have a bunch of turbo stuff laying around form other applications and i kind of want to boost it tell i get a S5 engine lined up and built and ported. Well that's my story so let me know what you think.

Good for you. There were a couple of LS1 FD's at Sevenstock. I can't believe they had the guts to show their faces and cars around all the rotary purists.

Good to hear that you're saving a rotary car, even if an n/a FC isn't quite up to par with an FD
i have always been a sucker for fc's just love em

Sevenstock? So you mean like... its for Rx7's? I see nothing in that title to suggest "RotaryStock".

Now if it were rotary revolution, I would understand. Otherwise anyone hating is well... just kinda being an ***. Its their car to do whatever they want to.

it won't work even if it did.

the lower intake manifold interferes with a stock TII manifold and turbo

I dont think you should be allowed to do the swap unless you already saved a rotary from destruction and neglect.

I could honestly care less what other people do to their cars. Although I did cry inside a little when I saw the CYM with the piston engine. SevenStock is a rotary engine convention. Did you not see the signs that said 'no pistons allowed'? And there was parking across the street from Mazda for 'piston parking'.
There were Miatas there, because they had converted to rotary and some pick up truck (not the REPU's), because they converted to rotary.
That is also why LS1 converts have SevenNotStock.

I see the text your posted, but my brain only interpets:

I <3 Ignorance. First off that wasnt a CYM. It was Sunburst Yellow from the bathurst Rx7. duh..

If they didnt want Pistons in there, which honestly they really stole the show, they would be a lot more strict.

How about you quit your whining and build a car that can compete with the pure awesomeness known as the Lsx. Yeah I said it.

Also dont be such a little panzy about V8 rx7's inside the main area. We at SNS allow all to come and join in. Piston rx7's, rotary rx7's and even those who aspire to own an rx7. Its people like you who ruin nice car scenes by acting like a little bitch because a car you dont own has an engine you disagree with, regardless of how superior it may or may not be.
