"Long time listener, first time caller"
Hello everyone, I've been a member here for a quite some time, and I rarely post, but this time I think I'm going to be doing a lot more posting!
I am 23, and i've wanted a 3rd gen RX7 for quite some time, and since I sold my 03 Cobra, i've been looking at everything under the sun to buy. But I told myself awhile ago, if I ever find a low milage RX7 for a good price, I will pick it up. Well driving down the street today I saw a Montego Blue 93 sitting in a parking low with "FOR SALE" written on the window. I couldnt see the milage, so I just took the number down. I just got off the phone with him, its 100% stock, 41k 5spd and looks PERFECT. It was this guys girlfriend's car (mid 40's) and she passed away not too long ago, and he has no use for it. I am going tomorrow to check it out closer and take it for a ride.
What should I be looking for when I do go look at it? Anything in specific?
I hope I end up buying it so I can join the RX7 community.
I dont have any crazy plans for it, it just need a new set of wheels, I dont like the factory wheels too much, and some bolt ons (intake, exhaust, bov, etc.). See my family owns a few new car dealerships, so I drive whatever I want from the lots, I am looking at this as just a little toy to play with and modify on my spare time.
I hope everything goes smooth with this, and there are no problems with it, I really want to see it sitting my garage soon!!
More about me, I own a detail shop and I work for my family's dealership as the Internet Sales Manager. I've had quite a few toys since I got my license, whatever I saw at the auction or traded in I got first dibs on, TT 300zx, TT Stealth, Talon AWD, 1g GSX, SRT4, EVO, 03 Cobra and I've been driving a 07 1LT Corvette coupe for the past few weeks from work, but i've always had my eye on a RX7 (can you tell I like forced induction). I did almost buy a RX7 when I turned 18, but it had too many miles and was blowing too much blue smoke so I passed.
Well I look forward to reading and learning here at the club, as well as finding some good deals on parts.
