GA Kris from Georgia

My name is Kris and I am in Atlanta, GA. I purchased my 93 RX7 today and thought it would be a good idea to sign up on the forums. I have been getting more and more into cars in the last 3 years and also own a scion FRS that I have tracked a few times. I also enjoy anime, Japan, and nerding out playing video games, computer games, and tabletop roleplaying games. I look forward to talking with all of you about the RX7 and cars in general.

Hello Kris and welcome aboard! Thanks for joining us. Congrats on your RX7 - it looks amazing! Do you have any particular mods in mind yet?

Thank you. The car all ready has a pretty hefty list of mods, including a Power fc ecu, greddy exhaust, streetport, blitz boost controller, a pile of gauges, megan racing coilovers, hid headlights, switched to non sequential setup, greddy smic, supra fuel pump, 850cc injectors..i know i am missing several smaller but no less important ones. We do plan on adding a wing, likely the one that was in the later stages of Initial D. And we need to do something with the radio, as the amps appear to be blown for the stock Bose setup.

Another FD in GA! Is a wing and radio fix your only plans? Are you going to change any of the mods that came with the car?

Yep, another FD in ga, around atlanta. At the moment, i am more focused on learning what the current mods are and how to mess with them (power fc and boost controller). I dont really know what intake it has, as they are just k&n cone filters hanging in there. Also, i am leaking a little oil from the drivers side of the throttle body, so i am trying to figure out what the cause is there. I will also be looking to get it tuned again, and of course need to get it to pass emissions and get tags for it. Lots of learning to do at the moment. Oh, i do also plan to get it onto the track, though which road course i start with is still up in the air. I might have to change the drivers seat or rails to lower it a little more so i fit with a helmet. Lots of research and learning to do, but i am definitely excited to own it.

Congrats on the ride. Some of us meet the first Tuesday of every month at tilted kilt in Buford if you ever want to meet some more rotor heads.

it is a bit of a drive, with lots of traffic, for me to get over there. I will try to make it eventually. First, i failed emissions last night and realized that the smog/air pump was removed. So i need to find all the pieces and hopefully some better pictures/diagrams so i can reinstall it and pass and get it on the road.

Looks like it will be more complicated than just an air pump. The acv is missing and the air tube on the cat had been crimped off. I got it back open, but i think i am going to try using an electric air pump and see if that will take care of it.
