Nearly identical build. This photo is from a member of Mid Night, my car is currently being built by Isami Amemiya and is nesring completion. I posted this photo because mine is nearly identical, down to the duct headlight.

here you have it. I will post a video of it coming off of the shipping container when she arrives from Japan. Until then, at least this pic gives you a strong idea of my new purchase! Thanks for looking!

Do you have any more pictures to share? What work is the legendary Amemiya-san doing to it? Mainly the body or are you getting engine work done? There must be an interesting story as to how you decided to get a car built in Japan by them vs importing parts and building it here!

hey thanks Tom! I dont have any at this time. I was promised photos last week but amemiya has been busy with D1. As soon as I get photos I'll update. Also hoping to get a walk around video.
Hes doing the motor build and suspension tuning, I will post the build sheet when I get that as well. I'm having him mark all suspension settings prior to shipping, once it arrives I'll simply have to reference and out back (cant have the aero getting damaged with the low suspension)

absolutely man and that gets me excited that someone is interested. It's been a lifelong dream to have something built by either Top Secret or Amemiya. I planned on the 25 year mark for legality to get an actual authentic build from amemiya. One of the tell tale signs is clearly RHD which adds to the exotic nature, in my opinion anyway. So this started the build and I specifically requested signed build sheets and his signature clear coated into the car (engine bay, not exterior). I grew up watching best motoring, hot version etc. And my one and only tattoo is designated to Mid Night. My biggest passions are design, engineering, and physics hence my passion for cars, hence hence my passion for rotary's, triple hence my passion for legendary Isami Amemiya. Just something I'm excited is coming to fruition. Next on the list is a Top Secret Supra but admittedly I'm very content with the FD.

Very cool; that's def. something that i've wanted to do as well! (have my car built by the man himself and signed) Absolutely LOVE the body kit there, with the sleek lights and vented hood!
