Johnny Boosts Official Introduction
Johnny Boosts Official Introduction
Ok guys here it is my Official introduction that is LONG over due.
Name: John Hunter
Age: 23
Location: Northern Colorado Front Range (Loveland/Fort Collins)
Car(s):
- 1979 Mazda RX-7 (SA) Limited Edition - 1 of 3000 made world wide (9 total currently in North America that I know of)
Old School 13B Swap, Holley 4 Barrel Carb 550 CFM, High flow header and Exhaust, CenterForce Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel, Jacob's Electronics Electronic Ignition, Ultra-coil, NGK Spark Plugs
- 1983 Mazda RX-7 (FB) GSL - Currently stock, Working on fixing body and gutting interior preping for paint and roll cage instalation - I plan on building this into a drift car AND a NASA Time Trials car.
Planning on swapping 2nd Gen RX-7 front Subframe and suspension with either S5 13BT or if $$$ allows 13B-REW single turbo conversion with Mega Squirt, 84-85 GSL-SE rearend swap with Moser 5 lug Axles, KAAZ 2.0 way LSD, ReSpeed Rear Spring Adjusters, Front Coil Overs, Illumina 5 way adjustable struts, and as much Carbon Fiber and Fiberglass as possible.
- 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo (Sold but she was my baby) I loved that car. It was my touge car. Ate me out of all my money so I sold it.
Education: I'm currently a student at Front Range Community College studying Mechanical Engineering. I'll be transferring to Colorado State University (CSU) to finish up my bachelors and continue on to a Masters Degree in Motorsports Engineering and plan on participating in CSU's Formula SAE race team.
I went to school for Automotive Collision Repair Technology at Aims Community College in Greeley, CO over the past two years but I want more and better education so I'm moving on. I focused on Automotive painting and refinishing with a focus on custom painting.
I'm paying my own way through school (Full Time Student) for now till Financial Aid comes in, so don't expect a fast build time for my 83 RX-7.
I'm a die hard Rotary fan. Currently rebuilding my 79's 13B will be all together and ready for break in tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest.
If ya got any questions feel free to ask. I'm looking forward to sharing with you all what Northern CO is like and what info i know. Can't wait to learn!
