Japanese guy with a Japanese sports car.
Hi I'm Robbie but some people call me Han.
I own a 1991 RX-7 FC VERT.
Background of my financial mistake.
So how I first got my RX-7 was a bit of a story in itself.
I graduated high school class of 18 and wanted a convertible with pop-ups so it was going to be a miata at first. Until I saw a RX-7 that was cheaper than miatas at the time and it was really close to my home. so I hit the owner up asked to just come look at it. I actually didn't know much about how cars worked let alone ROTARIES! So, I went onto YouTube to try and find what I should look for before you buy a rx7. after that met the owner and he recognized me from high school! So looked at the car got a basic understanding of the car. what was wrong with it [wouldn't pass emissions] and it was listed for $2,500 when I met him he lowered the price before I even threw out a number $1,800 its yours. negotiated for a bit more and finally it was $1,400 and a Xbox one for his little brother. which I felt pretty happy about how everything turned out. also I stretched the truth saying "I traded a Xbox one for a rx7"
After a few months of owning and registering the car in a city that doesn't do emissions it was a really fun car to take to car-meets and appreciate the positive comments of my new project car. yet its is just a stock s5 with Megan racing coil-overs with adjustable height and dampeners. and a stage 2 clutch that is softer than anything. but it ended up overheating so I found a lot of posts and threads about troubleshooting and fixing things on my rx7 thanks to everyone here!!! plus this car ended up getting named Roxy. I spend weekends night and day in my friends garage from fixing the water-pump, adjusting the clutch, adding some Motegi Mr137 wheels [yeah rep wheels but for $100 I couldn't refuse plus they were brand new] it brought me and my friends closer and even made new friends with garages with lifts and loads of tools vs a 200 piece craftsman toolbox.
currently saving up for a rebuild though because I finally learned that coolant is getting into the rotor housing and with 117k I think a full rebuild is in the works I've been between atkinsrotary pineapple racing or apex racing [I think thats them] but any tips or advice would be great!

Welcome dude. Beautiful car. I got an s4 Turbo 2. I’m currently saving to buy a turbo 2 swap. But also leaning to maybe putting an s4 n/a block and turbo it. Temporary. Have you heard of Kurt Robertson out in Oregon. He’s this old guy that lives and breathes rotaries lol. I’m going to have him rebuild my block. Affordable. But great quality work.
