GA Newbie old school Rotary guy saying hello!

Hello all! A 1979 RX-7 in blue was my first car. Loved it and missed it. So, I just bought a 1985 RX-7 that needs a rebuild. I live in the north Georgia area, so if I can lend a hand on a build please hit me up. I'd like to find out if there's an RX-7 community in my area.
I look forward to giving as well as receiving great info from the folks on this sight. So far I'm blown away with the quantity of info available on here! Anyway thanks to everyone.

Jack

Welcome!! Would love to see pictures of your 85! Do you know any of the car's history?

Thanks! The '85 came from the Clemson South Carolina area. The body and undercarriage look to pretty much rust free. Good starting point for a build....

A rust free 7 is a great place to start a build!! Its hard being up north and fighting the tin worm.

Welcome! What are your plans for the rebuild? Rebuilt 12a, or 13b swap?

I'm gonna stick to the 12A for now. I bought it as a non-runner. Its running now. I've rebuilt the front Calipers and just received a Master cylinder, and the Clutch master and slave cylinders. Once Ive got them in and bled i'll see what I've got. Been trying to find some door window belt weatherstripping, but the seals appear to be as rare as hens teeth! Once I've got it running, and all the kinks worked out I'll figure out what I'm gonna do as far as the powerplant....What did I get myself into??? Ha!
