Introduction - 93 RX7

Hello everyone... Looking forward to learning all we can about these unique cars. My nephew, Dallin Ray, and I recently purchased a 1993 RX7 from northern California, in non-running condition. The car is all stock, except the air pump was removed and it has a stainless no-name down pipe. Our thought was to rebuild the rotary and get it on the road, but it turns out the apex seals are not the issue. After some routine maintenance, we were able to get access to a rotary compression tester (thanks Louis!), and the compression checked out (high teens and low twenties across both rotors). However, the car still would not run (won't even try to start). Replaced the fuel pump (Walbro 255), fuel filter and spark plugs, to no avail. Pulled the injectors and took them over to Deatschwerks to get them cleaned and flow tested (so fortunate they are local) but we are still waiting to get them back. Decided to remove the "rats nest" while we were in there and potentially go non-sequential until Dallin can afford a single turbo setup (all of the vacuum hoses are brittle and several solenoids were broken). However, upon removing the stock turbos, we discovered the oil seals in the turbos are blown (oil in everything on the rear turbo). Shaft play is not bad, but the cast iron flange is cracked pretty bad as well.

Looking for suggestions and advise on which way to turn...hate to spend ~$1000+ on rebuilt twins, if we plan to go single later, but need to get this on the road asap (it will be Dallin's daily). Thought about 99 Efini twins, or a less expensive single route....Called G Pop and they can get the rebuild kits, or rebuild and balance them for us, but...

Thanks,

Jamin

Sorry for not adding photos to my first post. Here are the pics after we finished upgrading the brakes and cleaning/painting the factory wheels. We also installed new Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2's to replace the tires on the car when we bought it that were dated 2000 and 2004!
