Introduction

johnd08 here, Hello. First, I know absolutely nothing about RX7's except for the past 4-5 years my son and I have been converting a 93 to a full time track car. What a nightmare! to be sure if I had a crystal ball and could have seen the path-it would never have happened. Needless to say I have many, many, more than many stories to tell and reputations to bust in the world of RX7 guru's in the marketplace. I will save for future posts if I get a level of comfort for if you can bash some of the vendors out there. Needless to say, I have much to learn and many questions to ask. I got into track racing many years ago with a honda s2000. drove it for years and moved from there to a honda 95 nsx-what a car. Still have it and still drive it but now I don't take it anywhere near the track. My son bought this 83 RX7 and it really was a POS but a car he always wanted. He bought it and it never ran. To make a long story short, we determined to convert this car to a dedicated track car. With that said, I deed some guidance for about everything and anything from wheel and tire fitment to instrument cluster probs, to alignment...the list goes on. by the way, the car was finally re-built by Banzai Racing and has 1500 break in miles on it. I am due to take the car back for racing tune but the Covid 19 is preventing that from happening right now. This car, trailer, parts, everything is for sale as soon as tuned- I don't know what I will look for or if I will even stay into track-this has been a really sour experience. Until it sells- I am into it and will learn what I can. Thanks, hope to meet some of you soon in the forum.
