What’s up everyone! My name is Allen and I’m known as the “Mazda” guy amongst my car friends lol.

I’m 27 years old and I’ve been driving a modified 370whp Mazdaspeed3 hatch for about 6 years now. Love that car to death!

Life has had many positive changes in the last 3 months for me. I’ve lived in Florida for 3 years now but originally from Massachusetts. I recently moved in with my girlfriend and have saved so much money doing so. (Living alone is expensive!) And I recently got a new job that almost doubled my income. For the first time in my life, I feel financially stable.

Which means I’m finally ready to purchase my first FD RX-7 by the end of the year! As many of us probably are here, it is my ultimate dream car. I fell in love with the FD in 2003 at the ripe age of 6 years old when Need for Speed Underground came out on the PS2. That was my car of choice and my older brother and I were obsessed. Of course Dom Toretto’s red RX7 in the first Fast and Furious movie was also another huge influence.

TLDR: Life is amazing currently for me. I never thought I’d be in a position to finally be seeking my dream RX7. I’m very fortunate but it took a DECADE of grinding every day to get here, so it feels well deserved at the same time.

I’m here in these forums to fully expand my general FD knowledge and looking at resources here to further educate myself and find the right car for me. If anyone reading this have any threads that will help me on my
RX7 knowledge and eventual purchasing journey feel free to post or PM me! I already know a decent amount from watching many RX7 reviews, do’s and don’ts kind of videos… and more.

If you’re local to Orlando or Tampa and want a new friend to go to shows with let me know man haha. I need some FD friends so I have an idea of what kind of life I’m gonna be getting myself into 🤣 I’ve actually never driven an FD before. I sat in one ONCE but I genuinely don’t know how these cars even feel like to drive.

Anyways, ramble over. I’m glad to be joining these forums finally guys.
