New here and thought my first post would be a quick intro. Pretty sure I’m having another mid life crisis and it has brought me here. My very first car was an 81 RX7 which I loved dearly. Got married, had kids, got divorced, kept kids, and now that they are older (my youngest is 17) I’m realizing there isn’t much more time to do things with them. My older boy has a 330xi and my youngest has a WRX. They spent the summer going to superfly and other car meets and on the few occasions I went with them, I got sucked back in. Decided I wanted a project for us to build together and initially wanted a FD, but the price of admission is a bit high for my liking. Ended up buying 2 FCs. One is a 86 fully caged with a S5 T2 motor that was rebuilt, half bridgeported, installed, but never started. It’s pretty much a shell with a good engine, nice cork sport race exhaust, and a bunch of other goodies. We removed the engine last night. Second car is a 91 that I’m trying to get shipped out of Tucson. Car is paid for but apparently shipping cars is not as easy as it sounds. Anyways, the 91 is an auto and doesn’t run so the T2 will go in it, with some sort of upgraded turbo, some sort of stand alone ecu, and whatever else we decide (or you help us decide). Anyways, that’s my quick story and looking forward to having a decent setup to enjoy with my boys.
