pics - sneek peek - rtry rocket - 2nd gen intro

This is probably going to be the best rotary rocket magazine yet for 2nd gen owners.

This is a 112 page "intro" to the 2nd gens, COMPLETE behind the scenes on development, spy photos, EXTREEMLY detailed design goals, etc...

I've got 56 pages up so far (it's ALLOT of work getting them just right).

Full mag soon, but have a looksy at the first half:

Dec 85 - Rotary Rocket

Yo Little Donny,

STFU. You probably don't drive an RX-7 anyways. You actually look through the magazine? It kicks ***.

Couple questions:
1st, the RX-7 was the first Mazda available with a CD player in 1986? I thought the CD came much later than that.
And B, where do they get "almost .9 g's" from? I don't know the specific number but I don't think these things pulled .9 did they?
Also the mention of 2+2 (not available until '87 but they sounded like it was going to be on the '86).

They're probably just trying to relate to the readers. Seeing as how every dumbass tire shop puts them back on that way. I think that has to be one of my greatest pet peeves.

The thing that bothers me is that they have absolutely NOTHING bad to say about the car. Its doesn't make the reviewer sound very credible, does it?

A. CD technology was in the marketplace by then. It wasn't cheap, but it was there. I remember in high school (yes, I'm that old), a few people brought them in around then. It was so cool to listen to a recorded media that didn't have any backround noise/static.

B. Lateral grip is all about tires. If they tested on a soft compound street tire, upper .8 would be pretty easy. My '90 convertible was able to pull 1.05 on the stock suspension with very used road race tires.
