MT I think I'm in love!

I've just purchased my first project car. It's a '87 FC GXL. It's the first rotary I've ever owned. 86K original miles. Bought it with a blown apex seal for $750! Instead of a rebuild, I've found a TII S4 J-SPEC 13B, tranny, and clutch I'm going to drop in. I've been reading up on the RX-7 Club forums for the past week since I am a complete rotary newbie. I'll upload pics as I progress. Any advice or comments are welcomed. Wish me luck!

100% Stock. I just got my TII to N/A driveshaft from MAZDATRIX and my engine/clutch/tranny should be coming in the next couple days. I should be able to start working on it this weekend. I'll get some pics posted. Thanks for the support!

id note that you should get a TII rear diff, and that the wiring will be different and so on, so its not just a simple swap, just keep that in mind while your proceeding, good luck tho.

My friend has a car like this, he did a full rebuild on his engine. Cost him a lot but it's super smooth.

OMG There is hope for mankind after all... Let me be the first to congratulate you on being the first person to actually take the initiative and RESEARCH!!! Nice Job hopefully there will be more like you in the future. Good luck and God Speed. Rebuilding isnt hard...ive done it myself before....it takes time, patience, and most of all $$$. I suggest either getting a rebuild video and watching it over and over...and ask lots of questions.

I'm running into a minor snag. I've received my JDM 88 B13, but it didn't come with the ECU as advertised and the seller claims that he cannot find another one. He says that if I find one, he will reimburse me for it. Is there any distributor that sells the N344 ECU? Or is there any other ECU that will work for a JDM S4?
