Hi, noob here.......
Hello, I just purchased a 1986 Mazda rx7 non-turbo for $400. It is a five speed and the engine has been re-built around 7500 miles ago (yes receipts are there) but it does not run. We have replaced the plugs and tried either (it has not been started in about a year) to start it and it ran, my friend said he heard it knock, but I think it was the either and crud from sitting but it ran. I need a fuel pump (any tips of inding a cheap used one) and I need to clean out the tank (NASTY fuel) but at least I know it runs. I think I got a good deal on it, body has no rust, all electrics work with the sun roof included the paint is silver. I am new to rotaries but can thses engines knock? I didn know they could. Its a really nice car and I want to invest about $600 into it for varios mods (maybe a new paint job too). Just any advice for a new owner and did I get a good deal? I didn't know you could re-build rotaries
Thanks
Jesse
Thanks
