I wish I was in the world of the FD. For now I've got a 1985 GS with a 12a motor. Just posting for a couple reasons... one being I haven't been on in forever due to an unfortunate GPU failure on my laptop, and two because I like seeing new people and making friends. Either way, my 85 needed everything from new o-rings on the oil cooler and intake manifold, new gasket on intake manifold, my OMP needed to be rebuilt, my gas tank needed to be re-sealed for leaking anything over half a tank, my water pump needed replacing. I even removed and made adjustments to my carburetor for it to idle correctly, not to mention the oil pan gasket needed replacing. Needless to say the people on this forum are what made that possible to me. I am finding the RX-7 easy to work on, and you'll definitely spend a lot less when you talk to some of the guys in here. I spent a total of 500 dollars after I bought my car to get it to run as an "ok" daily driver. that's not bad if I do say so myself.

sorry that was long, but welcome to the RX7 club!

Oh yeah, and I am not originally mechanical. I am in Geek Squad. So adapting to working on a car and finding it fun and easy... I'm loyal to rotary motors, all the way.
