Hey RX7 club, I just got my first RX-7.
Hello my name is Jordan (Houston, TX) and i recently just bought my first Rx-7 1991 FC with power everything it has a sunroof it red. I want to learn more about this rx-7 (FC) and all models FB, FC, FD and any info you guys might have to share a fellow rx-7 owner. I'm not a total noob to cars but im new to owning an rx-7. My other RWD cars are my my truck and my drifter car the 1989 240sx with Silvia conversion, BuiltSR20 in progress to much other things to put right now.
Car has 137,500 miles on it!
I got it for $1000
First thing i noticed after i test drove the car that needs to be fixed soon was the exhaust leak idk which gasket it is, its from the front im thinking its either the manifold to head gasket or the gasket between the manifold and down-pipe. 2) the clutch peddle need to be adjusted on my way home i had trouble getting it in gear so i had to do a pump action for the clutch to engage to go in gear. 3)The shifter is just way to sloppy it bad to where I can hardly find the shift point until you pump the clutch a few times It is a H-Pattern 5 speed Type trannsmission

Head gasket you say? HAHA our cars done have those, or valves, or pistons but you'll soon learn how different these motors are from anything on the road.
Gas pedal is an easy fix which you prob already did
Exhaust leak is a pain in the butt and if I were you, I'd take care of it when you do your new exhaust setup sicne you're planning on modding it.
The shifting issue could be from old synchros. You can get a whole tranny for cheap or rebuilt for a bit more. The sloppy shifter is caused by worn bushings.
Good luck on your new toy.
