Question Hey, don't have a seven just yet

Well glad I found this forum. First off great resources you guys have here, its helping me out a lot. I have some questions first off. I am thinking of purchasing my first 7. There are some FC's and FB's around with the FB's being in the project category (one isn't too bad though). My question is which one do you guys think would make for a cheaper endeavor. Choices 89 FC N/A is running has 135k miles runs fine and a 85 FB (dry rot tires and needs new paint on the front end). I am trying to save my money (well really do my first car project out of pocket since I just turned 18). But what car has less "problems" and the most aftermarket support. I am more into handling and braking than power gains for the moment.

p.s If its from experience I would really appreciate it thanks.
