Hello from Queens New York

Just wanted to introduce my self on here. I've been a long time rx7/ rotary fan for years. I have purchased a 1993 fd that's needs a ton of work but I'm going to restore the whole thing. I have been reading and learning more and more every day and hope to drive the car to a meet as soon as possible.

Welcome to the club. You definitely have the right attitude when it comes to doing the homework first and that is the largest factor for success. One thing I would suggest is to give yourself plenty of time to address the car's needs properly. We all want to go to a meet, but it's no fun breaking down on the way there. Especially if it's a national meet like Deals Gap Rotary Rally a few weeks ago in North Carolina.

Bookmark this site, grab all the FD manuals and parts catalogs and arm yourself for success.
Foxed.ca - Mazda RX-7 Manuals

Some things you may need can be difficult to find. Our Marketplace is a good starting point, along with vendors such as Mazdatrix. But if you're completely stuck, let me know. It won't be the first time I found the impossible by digging in Japanese.

New OEM parts, hit up Ray Crowe crowe.ray@aol.com
He runs Nucar parts - a Mazda OEM parts dealer. Owns 2 FDs and gives us steep discounts.

Just wondering if the car was originally Brilliant Black or Competition Yellow Mica? Looks like an awesome project!
