MI Hello from Michigan!

My name is Ed. I'm here to gain some knowledge on these FCs as I am planning on purchasing one this week. I've lurked for a little while and I must say this place is very informative and seems friendly!

Welcome, Ed!

Is the FC a TII or NA? Is it a vert?

Good luck with the purchase. Please post some pics once you get it. Let us know if you have any questions.

Hello Ed. I too am a new member and I agree that this site has tons of information. Unfortunately I am not the mechanical type so it's difficult for me to comprehend the material. However, it is quite a learning experience for me. For a 88 vert to be cooped up in a barn for 10+ years very nice find.

I'm going to make it run first. Its currently seized as its been setting for a decade. I'm pulling the engine and rebuilding this week. Maybe I'll streetport it while I'm in there.

After its in running order I'm going to reupholster the interior with Tan leather. I need to find a new top but I might just replace it with Tan Vinyl or something. I'm not sure on that yet. Basically just make it look clean. No body kits or exterior mods.

When I get some more money and everything safety wise is replaced, I'd like to try supercharging it with an Eaton compressor from all the rotted Grand Prixs and Buicks we have here in Lansing. I think that would make a classy and fun little car.

Any boosting will require a new ECU correct?

Boosting will require some sort of stand alone engine management control for tuning properly, ie haltech etc. Good luck with the eaton supercharger project.
