Hello from Macdill AFB FL

Hi everyone, I know this is my first post and I created my account awhile back but I never ha a reason to begin posting until recently.

I currently own a 2005 Honda Civic Si auto-x/track car/daily lol and a 2008 Mazdaspeed3 GT daily.

I'm selling my MS3 and been dying to get into a nice FD. I haven't found many in price range, looking for close to stock as possible for about $10-$11,500.

I've looked in the for sale section here and can't find many that are close by, and what I mean by close by I mean withing 600 miles lol. I'm willing to drive out to get one but I can't go past 600 miles since I would need some leave time planned ahead to do that.

I'm currently on 2 other fourms and very active on them as well. mazdaspeedorums.org and ephatch.com

My experience in cars is about 8 years and I love to drive my cars, they see road time every week.

Hopefully I get to own my 7 soon. I would love it if you fellow rx7club users could help me find one! Thanks everyone and looking forward to meet some local owners.

Welcome, I'm new too, I did some time at Macdill back in 2005. I think you'll love the 7, rotary's are great fun to drive and work on.

Welcome!
I'm at Patrick AFB and love it!

Just sold my FD and picked up a RX-8.
I needed more room for my two kids.

Good luck finding your FD

Steve

Well folks, I'd like to say that although I couldn't settle into an FD I did land onto something more precious..

I am now the VERY proud owner of a 1988 10th Anniversary Turbo II FC.

I just drove her home a couple hours ago so it is still night time here I will post pictures when I wake during the day tomorrow.

Very active Tampa owners group. There is a Facebook Page for Tampa Rotary Owners Club or something.

In regards to a FD in your price range, please PM me as I can direct you to one or two people who will sell you a high quality FD for that price and they have excellent reputations and integrity for selling FD's.

Welcome!

Please go to the engine management section of the forum and the PFC sub section. At the top is a sticky that should answer your questions. I also suggest contacting Arghx on the forums and joining his PFC owners group.

What do you mean by PFC?

Update on the car:

A LOT of this car is still 1988 original and was in much need of new parts. Did fluids today to include oil and coolant, new thermostat, new gaskets/o-rings, new water pump, new belts, plugs, etc.

Basically a super-tune up. Car responds amazingly well. Haven't kicked it to redline yet, was reading that for 7's that were stored away and only started up occassionally need to go through a "breaking in" process similar to like a new engine but like waking from its slumber lol.

I just spent a a pretty penny with Racing Beat. Again, all the rubber mounts, bushing, hoes are original and need replacement. Bought Mazda competition mounts, all 9 of them. Racing bea turbo back exhaust REVII system. Corksport short shifter just because I mine is SUPER sloppy and needed to rebuild it anyways.

I should probably start my build/progress thread son, hmm..

I don't own a Facebook, sorry. My wife does but I hardly even look into it to join clubs and such. If you guys can tell me what y'all do in your rotary club I would be more than happy to join and convene with you guys.

Cheers!

PFC = Power FC ecu

Tampa isn't quite an "official" club...but more of a group of guys that get together every now and then....at least from what I know.

Most clubs here aren't too formal...just guys wanting to go on drives, get together at car meets, help wrench on cars, etc

I'm not sure what my post about the PFC ended up here. That was supposed to be in another thread. Weird.
