NY Hello, I'm new to everything...

hey everyone, i'm new to the rx-7 club and everything. I've been lookin at some of your guys cars on here and can't get enough of them. I'm 17 and i live near Albany, NY. I have a '89 s10 now that i'm trying to sell to be able to get a second generation RX-7. I'd love to get the third gen but i'm going off to college this coming fall so i dont have that much money.

I don't know much about the rx-7 nor the rotary motor's but thats why i joined the forum, to find out about the car before i make the purchase
-the good/bad
- fc? fd?

New to this site but I have owned a few. Best thing I think is to just read all you can and get lots of knowledge before you spend your money.

I agree with SOUTHPAW. I originally bought my FD to quickturn and sell it for a profit. I then fell in love with it and here I am 2 years later. FYI: The rotary engine can get expensive.

yes the rotary engine can get pretty expensive but if u hav the time to work on it urself, and the money to buy parts it is a car u can take great pride in...and they r a BLAST to drive!!! and basically i look for no rust, or as lil as possible, and check the miles on the engine u DONT want to b rebuilding ur engine 2mos afta u bought it! thats is sadly what happened to me!! but it works now...$4000 lata

Well, I have a great 1985 RX-7 that I may have to be selling -- can't afford to store it anymore.

thanx...about the 85, im sorry but i dont really like the looks of the first gen, if i had the money i'd def buy 3rd generation. But for a 17 yr old goin off to college, the second gen looks to be about decent price range

Difference between FD and FC, Second generation=FC, Thrid generation=FD, always liked the FD more myself, but the FC's done right look amazing as well.
