Hello I'm Crash
Hello, I'm Brittany Carroll, I'm a Class A Painter at the factory I work for. I paint vehicles on the side. I bought my car because I love imports but my husband is a ford man. He has a Turbo 351W Ford Ranger. All that anyone races in my area are stock mustangs, stock diesel trucks, and various chevys. My car is more or less so that when you get beat, not only did you get beat in a import, you got beat by a girl.
I got the nickname Crash from when I raced Dirt track, I raced for a couple years, but after I got spun out and hit the wall head on and totaled the car, going in circles just isn't any fun to me anymore.
I currently own a 86 RX-7. I bought the car with the 302 already in, it was a running driving car till me and my husband towed it the three hour trip home and burnt out the AOD it had. So first thing we pulled the motor and went through replacing all the gaskets and such. Then I installed a C-4 transmission with a 2500 stall and a B&M Star shifter. Car runs fine but keeps burning up fuel pumps due to the rusty old gas tank. I'm currently in the process of swapping the rusty old gas tank for a fuel cell. After I get all the minor things with the car taken care of I'll be adding a 70mm turbo. Then it will be on to paint, I have everything sanded down and ready just waiting on all the mechanical work to be done. I'm going to paint it black, and my husband bought lime green stars that go down the sides.

Nice. I sold my 05 mustang gt. I know what you mean theres just so many around the southeast. Only problem is the fc doesnt pull near the attention. But its all good when its time for the right foot to work
I'm gonna ricer mine out with the huge wing and such, so when everyone looks they think its a fast and furious wanna be, pos slow car... Even with my 302 stock set up I can beat just about every smart-mouth in my town.

Theirs only about a 50 lb difference from what I read, but start replacing steel with aluminum and it wont be to much a difference. Only thing i'm worrying about in the rear suspension holding up.
Don't worry about the haters. As you stated, it's a lot cheaper to get big power out of the V8. If you're happy with it, that's all that counts. There are quite a few folks over in the Tennesse area with RX7s. Hanging out with others that share our dysfunction makes it all worthwhile. Deals Gap Rotary Rally is coming up in April, not far from you, V8s are always welcome.
UPDATE::: i have new wheels and got the gas tank fixed along with new fuel lines... now just have to run the exaust and fix a new plate for the trim that goes around the heat buttons and radio....
