Hello all! Glad to finally be a member of the RX-7 club! I've owned 3 RX-8s and built my own 13B MSP. Had been keeping my eye out for a while to upgrade to my dream of owning an FD. One of the best looking cars ever made in my opinion! The car is mostly stock and has a decent amount of miles for the original engine (nearing 100k!). The engine starts and runs, but still planning to rebuild it before really driving it. Just hoping she will make it to inspection so I can get it titled before I tear it down. After the rebuild, it will need a bit of body work and full paint job, but the underside and engine bay are in great shape for the age! Looking forward to the project!!
Not as much as I would like. I have some maintenance records, but the car has been sitting for about 10 years. Spent a lot of time removing all of the old fluids before anything else (fuel, oil, trans/gear oils, coolant). Brakes are bone dry. Last owner had it tagged in NY in 2015, and it somehow survived the climate and is very limited on rust underneath. Interior is in great shape, no leaks, just needs seats!
Welcome to the forum! Where abouts in DE are you? If it's the northern part/New castle county, we're practically neighbors - I'm in Elkton, MD and have restored and FD & FC that I still have.
