Future FD buyer
I currently have an acura integra but will probably buy a new car in a year or two, so I'm beginning to research my options now. I'll probably end up buying an FD or Honda s2000.
I previously had a first-gen RX-7 and a WRX and am itching to get something more visceral for a weekend car. I'd really like to get the FD if I can get one in fairly good shape, but I know that it will require a lot more effort to maintain. Luckily my dad is a retired mechanic, and he's familiar with rotaries.
I've already read most of the noobie FAQs and may look into getting a factory shop manual to see exactly what maintenance might look like. I have a factory Helms Manual for my integra and use it often to do my own maintenance.
BTW, if you didn't know, working on Hondas and Acuras are almost effortless for older models. Hopefully, I wont have to become best buds with a rotary specialist in order to get an FD. I rather enjoy working on my own car.
So if you see me lurking around the forums, it's just me doing research. And feel free to offer any advice to me up front. lol.
