I don't see any reason why it wouldn't pass an inspection to get one the track. The car was definitely built for. Has roll cage, racing seat belts, emergency shut off, and much more. The car is stored right now but I'll be moving it to its home garage where most of the rebuild will take place later today. I'll try to grab some more pics of it then.
