FD Newb from Florida
Hi All,
My name is Dave. I don't know the first thing about RX7s. I don't even know anyone who even owns a running RX-7, nor have I driven one. I drive a supercharged, Kswapped (2.4L) 03 Honda Hatchback.
Wait Dave, what the hell are you doing here then?
....Let us start from the middle
My current car is a wonderful daily driver. I've carefully modded over the past 7 years it to suit my needs and it is honestly blast to drive. With my longtime money pit almost complete I eagerly searched for a new challenge. After much though, I ended up choosing to build a weekend warrior - an EF Hatch w/ a Kswap for Time Attack duty. I already owned the EF and am thoroughly familiar with the K world. I had been collecting parts for the swap for a couple of years. Unfortunately (or is fortunately?) a series of events resulted in me donating the EF to a family member in need. Since then I have been offloading parts I no longer need and coming up with a game plan for my new money pit...
...Fast Forward a couple of months
Imagine my surprise when I realized you could find a running, good condition FD for the same price as an S2000 or a nice shell for the price of an EK! You see, I had absolutely no idea FD's were so affordable! You don't see them for sale too often and I just assumed they were up there with Supras in terms of cost. You can probably figure out the rest. I'm here to learn, read, and get some ideas for my next project.
