MI FD Newb

I've admired the RX-7 for years and I've finally been in a situation where I could buy one. I picked up a '94 MBM last month. It has all the necessary reliability mods, so that's a relief. Just thought I'd introduce myself and I'm looking forward to learning tons more about these beautiful specimens. Aside from an oil change, does anyone recommend anything when first buying? Anyone else here from MI?

Jeff

Is that a water injection setup next to the battery?

Yeah. It's the devil's own setup.

have you narrowed down the problem? I want to keep this as trouble free as possible so whatever I can do beforehand, I will. There's only 16k on the engine with all the reliability mods AND water injection so I hope I'm sitting pretty.

its the coolant level sensor or something like that. i guess the oem one is plastic and mine just cracked with age

Nice car I hope to add one to my collection one day. As far as relibality goes check the fluids, watch the temp and just enjoy! There are many people just paranoid about whether or not there is a problem with there rotary but in my experence they are very reliable.
