Saying hey and also looking for advice
I posted in here earlier but I don't see the thread so sorry if im double.... threading lol. I don't currently have a 7 but Im searching diligently. Just wanted to say hi to every one. Also im looking at this http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/1975371620.html Ive contacted the seller and he told me "It runs a whole lot better boosts where it should through the whole rpms but every now and then it will hesitate a little bit." What do you guys think? 7k is a good price but this car could potentially need a lot of work right? Is this a ticking time bomb? Would love to hear you alls opinions. Thanks!

Its alright.. its obviously been raced i prolly wouldn't buy it. Its a good deal but it really depends on what's wrong with it. That would be my first question. If its something minor that gets fixed then its a great deal. Looks like its been raced.

Sounds like he is trying to use the stock ecu with raised boost but without doing mods to tune the setup. Stock ecu + extra boost = lean(eventualy due to small injectors or execeds maximum map pressure) which will destroy the engine very quickly if not already.

Wait!!!!
For a bone stock one with low miles witch has no problems. Even if you pay more.
Once the Turbo Rx boost has been modifyed with out proper measures it has most likely been compromised.
