FC Rx7 Found in Barn.

Hey guys just Recently Purchased my FC rx7 Convertible and being in the process of 'Cleaning" it up. I Purchased it up for 300 Dollars was sitting in a barn for 3 years.. i picked it up that day drained the oil and put new coolant in it. and started right up.. defiantly one hell of a find!

Cleaning up nicely, does Indiana have tough smog laws? (not that it would be an issue with injection). Looks like the stock gauges just with white faces, great garage you have there also, got the same harbor freight seat in my workshop.

I actually live in Illinois. This Car is my project car before i leave for my basic training. my shop is 2 sided one side my dads company runs an asphalt business and the other side i have were i am currently working on the Rx7, and my Turbo Integra.

Gotta love those Harbor Freight prices!

Thanks to all! more to come! any suggestions on what type of suspension? Im leaning towards Tein i had it on my G35 and loved it

most likely going to buy the wide body rear fenders and do that.. if not my buddies really good at body work and il have them cut and section that part out..

yea the best part was having the guy i bought it from come out and drive it. he was kinda upset that i got it running. ha.

Currious how much can i expect to get outta this rx7 price wise? just currious how these are in value

Nice find. I'd say $900-1200 bucks is a good ballpark for a good running second gen.

Thanks alot. i just recently blew my radiator so i just got a used one for 50 bucks.. these cars arent to bad parts wise unless a rebuild is needed.. and i also notice this car is very tempermentle when it comes to starting after being sat for a couple days

I'm not sure that is the case, I have a 2nd gen RX7 non-turbo, and I let it sit for a while, no problems sitting for a while and then starting, there may be a problem with something either the starting system, battery, fuel or something, you just need to address the problems. Mine starts without any problems after sitting for a week or so.

i just recently put a new battery in it. maybe i need to clean the injectors... or maybe the spark plugs are bad

Awesome find congrats. i love barn finds some guy on another forum im on just found a mint Honda rsv (motorcycle) in a barn with a bunch of bird droppings on it.
