UT Excited to be here! Owner from Utah

Hey everyone! Glad to have found this forum. I have had the car for a few years now, I purchased it from my grandma after my grandfather passed away and he was the original owner of the car. It's a 79, it was originally red but he liked yellow so took it to a paint shop a long time ago that unfortunately did a pretty poor job, eventually looking to have it redone the original red color. Has a few dents from it rolling into his boat trailer in his garage, but otherwise it's in pretty good shape. Also have had the interior re-done. It definitely needs some TLC but overall runs great, had the engine worked on quite a bit and had all the oil leaks fixed, but recently has started dripping again, so will need to work on that. I have tried to find some good places to get parts to work on it but haven't been able to find a really good place to go, so if any of y'all know of some good websites to get parts for I would love to hear them! Here are a couple pics. I also have had quite a few Audi's over the past few years and have been on other forums for those, and they are great, but I really do enjoy taking the RX7 out on the weekends loving the analogue feel. I look forward to getting to know y'all on the forum!

Welcome! Cool that you're basically owner #2, and it was your grandfathers car. I'm sure that's something special to you.

Your resources for parts are Atkins rotary, Mazdatrix, and your Mazda dealer for some other common stuff. There's some vendors that make good parts like racingbeat, pineapple, banzai etc.

Welcome to the forum!! The car looks to be in pretty decent condition overall. Did your grandfather save the original waffle wheels?

Some parts are still available through Mazda, but the number diminishes year by year. You can post want ads for parts here in the market place section or browse the F/S ads for parts and cars being parted. Sunrise Red was the red they used in 79.

I believe the spare wheel is the only one, I am not sure. Ever since I was a kid it always had these wheels on it.

If you haven't done so already, you need to download the FSM and Parts List from Foxed.ca. To have any success sourcing new parts, you will need the part numbers which you can get from the parts list Numerous folks list Ray Crowe crowe.ray@aol.com as a preferred source.
