New to RX7's
Hello, my name is Mark, and I am probably much older (48) than most Members here. I am from Atlanta and I have a son who is a member of this forum. My son and I have bought/traded/sold many cars, mostly 240's, Subaru's, Lexus, and even played with Skyline's a little.
My son just recently traded the 240 he had, S13 with Silvia conversion and
RB25DET W/T70 turbo (extra sweet), for a 1993 RX7 FD. The RX7 is going to need a little work and TLC to make it just right again. It seems to run pretty good and the engine was supposedly rebuilt about 4000 miles ago. The body is in pretty good shape, except for a cracked front bumper, some paint issues with the bumper, and a little chip on the rear wing.
The interior has some problems, cracked dash, gauges don't work, a/c problem etc... but I guess overall it's not that bad. I will definitely need some parts for it.
My son told me about this forum, and he may have already posted some pics, and some of you may have already seen this car in the past. I think the previous owner was/is a member here, he is from South Carolina.
Anyway, one main reason I joined is for the expertise and knowledge I'm sure a lot of you have, and I hope am willing to share with me. Plus I know this is probably a great place to locate some of the parts I am going to need.
I know a little about SR20's, RB25's and RB26's, but Mazda rotary engines, not so much.
I look forward to learning from, talking to, and dealing with some of you in the near future.
Thanks!

Southside of town, Fairburn. Kind of near Peachtree City (same exit off I-85).
How about you? Thanks for the welcome. If you know of any good rx7 shops, especially on the southside, let me know. Just got the car a couple of days ago, and I would like to have it thoroughly checked out. I hear these cars tend to run a little hot temperature wise, and this one seems to get up to about 215 or 220 degrees according to the gauge. Is that normal (or close to it)? What else can you do to cool it down? It's already got an aftermarket aluminum radiator on it. I've got to get the A/C fixed to be able to stand to drive it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hey man I really do appreciate the offer, but I traded the car away a couple of days ago, so I no longer own it. I found out it needed more work than I was willing to get done to it, so I had to let it go. Thanks anyway!
