Hey everyone, Im Drew From Red Hook/ Rhinebeck, NY. 21 years old and have been a mustang gearhead since i bought my first one when i was 16. Decided to change it up a bit and bought a very sweet FD from Florida. Should be arriving within the next few days. I originally saw it for sale on NASIOC last February of 2013 and wanted it, but i was strapped for cash at the time and didnt make the purchase. I tracked it down and found the new owner in Florida and bought it from him. Here are the details on the car, and then ill get to my plans that i have with the car and my overal goal.
1993 Mazda FD RX7.
412 Stroker SBC with F1C procharger
BUILT turbo400 transmission
Infitiy Q45 rear end.
Straight pipe exhaust.
Driveshaft from the driveshaft shop.
Otherwise shes basically stock suspension and interior and exterior wise.
My plan is to fix everything that was done half assed with the car and make it a show stopper and cruiser. More or less Pro Touring Style like people do with old school muscle cars.
Here is my parts list that i will be purchasing once the car arrives and i go over the car top to bottom.
Everything in bold i need help locating or need opinions on. Also, with the 3 empty spaces behind the shifter and next to the ebrake i want to make one of them line lock, the other push button start, and the other 2 step. How would i go about doing that?
Exterior/Interior/Braking/Suspension:
-Feed Front fenders
-Seibon Scoot Style hood
-Feed Front bumper with carbon fiber lip
-Rotora 6 piston 14" Front kit (painting calipers orange)
-Rotora 4 Piston 13" Rear kit (painting calipers orange)
-929 Brake Master Cylinder
-CWC sway-bar mounts
-Racing beat front and rear sway bars
-Ksport Coilovers
-6 Point cage (powdercoated Ford King Ranch Dark Tan)
-Carbon Fiber Shift Boot and Ebrake boot
-Painting gauge surround and center consol pieces Silver
-Pioneer AVIC D1 Navigation Head unit
-Wrapping the entire dashboard in black suede with Ford King Ranch Dark Tan Stitching on the edge of each pannel
-(Not sure on a reclinable set of racing seats yet, but i will carry over the Black and King Ranch Dark Tan color theme)
-(Not sure on what two subs or amp i want to run with yet)
-(Rolling,cutting and pulling rear fenders)
-buying new stock rear bumper
-Locate a ducktail wing for the car
-looking for gauge cluster for middle of dashboard or where the AC ***** go
-autometer auntique biege boost gauge, volt gauge, oil pressure guage
-Carbon Fiber mirrors and carbon fiber door handles
Engine/Drivetrain:
-RMP Level 6 TR6060 6 speed manual
-(trying to find good air to air intercooler with proper sized piping to install on car)
-Hinson Motorsports 1993-99 RX7 LSX V8 Premium Cooling System
-taking apart engine and painting everything black, Powdercoating intake, valve covers, and heads black
-trying to locate black stainless steel fuel lines
- Hydrodipping intercooler piping with carbon fiber
-Trying to locate a bigger set of Longtube headers for sbc, preferably 2" primary, with 3" collectors, If not i will powdercoat ones i have now, silver.
- Having a exhaust shop by me remove the shitty welded exhaust and doing a mandrel bent 4" exhaust with electronic cutout and having the exhaust exit out each side(both the cutout and the mufflered exhaust)
Wheels/Tires:
-Kinesis K29 wheels 19x9.5 front +30 Lo or Normal Disk with a 25mm Spacer with 235/35 up frton
-Kinesis K29 wheels 19x11 +24 SL disk with 285/30 drag radials out back
-Color will be carbon spokes with polished lip and carbon lugs with Orange center cap
Paint:
GM white diamond Tri-coat paint, door james, rear hatch, and engine bay. and Black roof.
