CA Definite Future RX-7 Owner

Hey everyone my names Sam Hacker, I'm 18, and I'm from the Bay Area in California. My older brother just got an 86 so I figured it was about time I got really serious about getting my own car and I've always loved the FC so it was an obvious choice. I'm just waiting for a bit more money as I've saved a little over 4 grand for this car. I'm not a huge gear head but I know a little bit, thought I would expand my knowledge by joining this forum.

I don't own one yet but I have to buy one in pretty good shape because I don't have space to work on it so money is a bit of an issue

How's it going sam, where in the bay are you from. I'm from Richmond. Been looking into wanting to buy a FC or in my dreams an FD, but don't got the money for that just yet haha. Joined this to learn since I havn't worked on cars since in high school 6 years ago sadly.

I'm from the South Bay, about 20 min from San Jose in Mountain View. An FD would be sweet but they're just so darn expensive and I don't even have enough money for an FC yet. I've never actually worked on cars but my older brother is a total gear head so I've learned a solid amount from him and he can always help me when I do get an FC.

That's cool at least you got someone you can help you out along the way. Seen anything promising yet to buy, been slim pickings out there haha
