Dang, sorry to read about your poor FC...so, what's the name and what kept you in the rotary game after that loss? The RX-7 Club will most def have all the answers to any problem you may encounter as you build that beast back up. Starting with a shell like that is a great opportunity to make sure everything is just right! Make sure you have the final car "design" down on a piece of paper so you're not going, "Dang, I should've laid that power wire for the remote door popper over-ride switch before I installed the stereo system and the carpets!!", at some point way down the build...

Welcome aboard!

thanks, yeah it was a sad day indeed, lost a few goodies to the insurance company. the name is Stephen. To be honest my old fc is what kept me in it. From the second i drove it the first time, i was hooked. And then as i began to actually learn something about the car/the people that tend to have them, I knew that it was the kind of car i wanted. I had an s13 before that, and i hated it. I think theres something about the fact there isnt a piston engine in the rx7s that has me hooked. i feel more like im part of an elite club, almost like i know something the rest of the world is missing out on. Yeah thats the plan, i just ordered a complete set of polyurethane bushings for it because one bushing in the back was a little mucked up. Plus im going to university in September to get my mechanics certif, so i figured its the perfect time to start a build! LOL, that definately sounds like something i would do, thanks for the headsup haha

Not a problem...guess how I figured that tip out??

Mech certified, playing with EFI rotaries...I'd say you have a damn good shot of making the RX-7 an actual career and revenue stream! Legit, good shops working on these cars are getting harder and harder to find. The only caveat I've noticed on that idea is that making your hobby into a job or shop often kills your enthusiasm for the hobby.

Good luck, Stephen, you're def heading in the right direction!
