Hello everyone

introducing myself, been into cars since i can remember, all makes and models, and somehow fate has led me to this RX2. found it in a backyard and now its time for restore. not sure of its future, but turbo sounds like a good idea. i hope you guys cut me some slack when i ask noob questions, i have worked with many cars for many years, but this will be my first rotary. i paid a decent price for it, i felt it was worth it since its was very complete. here are some pics i think you might find interesting....

ill update the pics as i progress.

what do you guys think, swap it or rebuild it?

Wow! The dry weather in CA is so good to cars. If that had been left outside for 20 years in NZ it would have rusted away to nothing. I say resto with minimal mods is the future for that baby!

yea, like most people who hold onto **** until they die for their family to have a garage sale to try and unload the crap. i find it kind of irritating actually about how many people who have yards like this who think they're sitting on gold mines or that they will ever get around to restoring the 20 cars they have by themselves.

you know that late 80's s-10/mid 80's corolla back there is going to wind up on Barrett Jackson one day.... right

in all honesty he's lucky anyone offered him even close to $500 for the deuce, if that(not knowing what you actually paid).

First make sure your tetanus shot is up to date! Then replace the fluids, battery and I bet you could drive that thing!
