SC another new guy

just another new member, my name is Briggs. I'm from Columbia SC. I'm currently trying to decide between either an FC or FD and a couple of other cars for my next project car. i figured this would be a good place to get some information on what's available for these cars and how well different things hold up.

welcome briggs. not sure what ur mechanical abilities r but my advise would be that if ur able to get into the gen specific sections of the forum, read up in the FAQ's for each of the fc and fd. from what i've read there's some reliability mod/issues that need to be addressed for the fd if u get one that's all stock. from all the posts i've read, the fc is problem prone, and the fd has it's share of issues too. between the 2, i prefer the fd over the fc, never really liked the style of fc. when it came out i thought they copied the 924, and there's nothing even close to resembling the fd. even back in the day, the fiat X1/9 i thought to be a spin off to the fb. but i'm more partial to the 1st gens(see sig). when ur able check us out in the SE section. lots of members near u.

Id say get a FC and use the money you save to make it faster than a FD. Besides do you really want a FD when the owners actually brag about what rebuild they are on :p I will take my rebuild maybe 1 time every 80-150k FC

WA Nice to talk to you briggs.

Nice to talk to you briggs, I am from Washington. I am also new to Rx-7's, about to purchase one, and joined the forum for the same reason. Maybe we should talk to each other more once we get the car, and learn from our mistakes . By the way, we have to get our post count up to post on legitimant forums.

haven't gotten anything yet, I work over seas alot. I still really like the FD's but haven't really found any at a decent price yet. I'm just keeping an eye out for either a hard top FC, or an stock FD. I've also been dumping a lot of $$ into my s2000 so until I get home a new project is going to have to wait anyways.
