Hello, just wanted to introduce myself! I am the new owner of a 92 FD rx7. Huge thanks to the guys at driver motorsports for taking care of getting the car here for me! I’ve been doing a ton of reading through the forums and collecting parts while I waited for the car to arrive. I have wanted a FD since I was little and am very excited to finally own one of my dream cars.
i am located in Indianapolis and am a full time automotive technician and I also run my own business selling automotive parts and accessories and importing from Japan. My company specializes in vip style parts but in the last year we have been branching out! I have attached a photo my current company car. It’s a 1992 Nissan Gloria.
Welcome to the club. You joined at quite the opportune time as I'm about 1/3 of the way done translating the FD's Japanese Wiring Diagram books. Awesome things are coming

thats awesome! I’m sure that will be a world of help
i was skeptical about the wangan spoiler at first but it really grew on me. Exterior is full RE and I love it especially since I never really see this kit on anyone else car. A few “updated” pictures since the car finally arrived last week.
I unfortunately have only been able to drive it once since it arrived. Tires are 20 years old and side walls are dry rotted extremely bad, but I see no reason to spend money on tires for the RE wheels when I have new wheels and tires that I need to pick up
Some of the large aftermarket pieces are relatively cheap to acquire in Japan, but the shipping costs means not to many make it North America, unless attached to a car, haha.
Fun to keep the car as a period piece.
Maybe you will get a call to be a period piece movie prop, as has happened in Vancouver.
That combination of parts works really well.
That front bumper skin would be very rare, even in Japan.
I have recently seen a set of the "phone-dial" wheels stripped down to the underlying metal and polished.

They looked terrific.
that is very true. My company imports kits and shipping plays a huge part of the cost. Would be super cool to see it in a movie! For now the super advans I posted in the first post will be going on. Eventually the RE wheels will get redone and make their way back onto the car.
