KY 85 rx7

My name is Bill and my son and i have a joint venture and ownership of a 1985 Mazda RX7 GSL. We live in Nicholasville KY. My wife and i owed a 1985 GS in 1988, and when our son expressed an interest in owning one, we could not pass up the request. We have done some work on the exhaust, replaced the fuel filter and plugs, and are planning other small repairs soon. We have a second 12A engine that we plan to rebuild in the future, to swap out with the 12A in it now, then rebuild that one to prep it for a second purchase. At least those are the plans for now. Truly enjoy this little piece of history.

welcome, I love seeing the father/son unity. My father was a v8 kind of guy while I was growing up, always having chevelles and what not, when I bought my first 7 I thought I was going to have to live in under a bridge, 5 rotaries later, he respects it. lol

It is fun, but it can be frustrating at times. Especially being that he is 17 and is a bit "love struck". Sometimes she comes before the car for him. That leaves dad with most of the work. It's still worth the time together though

I have always liked the 1st Generation 7's best, 3rd Gen 2nd, and 2nd Gen last place. That is as far as the body style goes. However the turbo II of the 2nd Gen is an awesome little engine.
