3 post rule defeats me
Hello.
I thought I had registered here years ago, but apparently I didn't, so I just did. Then I tried to reply to a post in the motorsports forum, but was rejected due to a post count of 0. So, here I am racking up posts. I'm a 240SX owner with a fondness for track days but not much time for them. An FD3S has always been a car I wanted but purchase price and maintenance made it unrealistic. The 240SX has been a good, cheap way to get into a fun RWD car, and I'll probably keep it for a long time, but maybe I can get into an FD as a street car in a few years. That's pretty backwards, running the 4 seat/McP & multilink/"sporty" car as the track car, and the 2 seat/dbl wishbone/awesome car as the street car, but I'm far enough into it now that I might as well keep it, and resale is crap on modified cars anyways. Plus, I'd hate to mar an FD going off on track, and cheaper is always better when there's a decent risk of wadding it up.

me too
I am in total agreement about the three post rule. I feel like I don't really have anything substantial to contribute to the site so I never want to post. But then whenever I do I have to go through this 3 post thing. Any way, I'm totally with you as far as keeping the 240 on the track and making the rx7 your dd. 3rd gens are too pretty and costly to mess up on the track (unless bigger budget of course).
Any who, good luck with the 3 post thing.

Re 3 Post Rule
I cannot agree more with your sentiments.
I am from Austalia and all I ever want answered are technical questions or advice and I hit the wall when I attempt to ask a question because I not allowed too because I'm in the wrong section.
Usually at that time I give up and find the solution elsewhere.
The last time I attempted to post it was removed by an administrator, not becuase the post was technically incorrect but because it seems you are not allowed to ask questions about suppliers in the newbie section.
I to have little to contribute but I guess to get past the rules you post dribble until you get up to the required level.
Regards

Perhaps if new members would spend more time reading the information that we have taken the time to prepare then you would be on your way to post bliss!

I've also posted on here several times.
I was one of the first to install the rack and pinon kit from the Canadian company the went out of business .( Forgot their name ), and posted an indepth write up and review of the product.
I still own my 85-SE that I bought new in 85 .

Lol im the FNG here. im the owner of an 88 rx7 vert wiht an engine dilema. i either repair/overhaul the 13b na or go with a v6 or v8 trnasplant. idk both will eb abotu the same cost. actually teh v6/8 will eba bit less.sicne ive got most of tehparts now except for the kit from grannys speed shop. anyhoo glad i foudn this place. ive not a beef with teh 3 psot rule, although it can be aggrivating, its there for a reason. ive seen ruls like this elsewhere. with not really a negative effect

I think its rediculous that you guys are complaining there is already so much info on this board... Instead of complaining about it take the time to search and read through threads and you can probably find an answer to your questions already here.... The fact of the matter is you guys are lazy and dont want to invest the time in searching.

be care full
well i like the post count rules because i am a member of corvette forum and they dont have a post count but this will keep the bashing to a minimum and peopel that dont have nothing to do from borbarding wath you have to say so it means that you have the moderators doing their jobs. so like it or not it will keep the forum for wath is mento to be a tool and not a bashing party.
