Hey cyber rotoheads! I lucked out and found myself a barley used (154k) mint 84 FB with a 12A. I have had no problems for the 1st year and then...... well things have gone a bit askew? Long story short

* driving to work one morning a after market car alarm goes off (did not even know I had a car alarm?)

* disconnected the alarm speaker and cranked the car back up

* ten seconds later I fried the distributor

* replaced the distributor and she runs but has issues

* if I punch it and let off then punch it again I can get it to run smooth but it goes right back into a poor power situation? Any ideas? I am considering the fuel pump bypass module idea i read on this sight?
* the alternator was overcharging which was the cause (i think) of the whole problem. I replaced the alternator but the power issue is still askew?

I love the car. Have done many upgrades including entire exhaust replacment from header back. Hyper milage 26mph daily!
