Check your local regulations & state law: here in IL it's illegal to have tinted windows, but new car dealers tint them anyways.

I have my windows tinted pretty well on my FD. Again depends on the state for the % that can be done to them. I have 28% on the side windows and 5 on the rear.

It's glass and you can see through it.

It's illegal in missouri to have side windows tinted more than 30 %. I know a friend who a got a ticket because he had 5% All around.

Are we gonna argue over this 'til kingdom come? LOL!

Basically, according to webster's dictionary of automotive terminology and the Dictionary of Rice Terms: a car window open & closes, all others are referred to as glass (as in windshield or rear quarter, hatch, etc.)

You happy now? Now you've done it, I am typing fast!

If you look closely... 90% of the threads on this site end in arguments. It really sucks.

I'm not arguing. It's all in good fun. Besides, I know I'm right, so who really cares? J/K

At any rate, I've got 5% on my REAR HATCH GLASS and haven't had any problems. I've seen tons of cars with the door WINDOWS tinted, but never hear how much harassment they get from the po po. I've been kinda thinking about doing that to mine...but haven't decided if it's with the hassle down the road.

freakin a, this is about tint, not the definition of a window.

btw, i heard on the radio the other day that there are no more tint laws at all in missouri.....im doing 5% all around regardless, but if its true then even better

Florida is awesome. 5% tint all the way around, no stripe on the windshield- that's gay. What are the regulations in your state? Check out http://latint.com/regulations.htm

A lot of FD's have brow tint...and it looks fine. I've had mine for the longest while, and like any other car, it just looks normal.

I agree with Shinobi-x.There is nothing wrong with brow tint .It makes it look better...but not better than the whole windshield tinted..

As long as its not overboard.. ( I think some states have a regulation stating how far the "brow" tint can go down) And there isn't some white stickers saying some stupid crap on top of it to totally contrast it.. and its actually there for a reason, not for "looks" then its ok..
