Will a 12 be able to fit in the FD hatch?

Working on getting two 10's in my FD right now. Should sound pretty good when its all said and done. My dad's building me some crazy enclosure that should fit under the stock strut bar.

Cloead, sounds great. I had two 8's under the stock strut bar, but they weren't hitting any deep bass notes. Two 10s should be awesome If I had room, I'd run two 12s, greatly underpowered, just to get incredibly strong crisp low bass

Hah idk where I would fit 12's at.. even two 10's is a super tight fit and I'm giving up quite a bit of hatch space. This crap is all going to be run by my car-puter thingy. Should be interesting if I ever get it finished.

You all just like big messy bass huh? **** man, 2 rock tight 8's or 10's is all you need. I've never understood why people thing the bigger the woofer the better.

Jon, not about bigger = better. I've owned a 10, two 8's, and now I have a 12. It depends on what you're going for. If all you listen to is rock, then an 8 is all you need. But if you're like me, and you like the incredibly DEEEEEP bass (the type you physically can't hear...it's just so deep that it just vibrates, no audible tone) that you'll get from some trance/techno and rap songs, you need a large woofer. 10s get some notes, but you really need a 12 to get the real low notes. So for me, it's based on what sound I'm looking to get. My sub (JL 12W6V2) is capable of hundreds of watts. I only run it at abotu 350. That's all I need for the sound I want

I got a 15 inch L7 with two Qudiobahn amps one for mono one for stereo... Would it be way to bassy with that 15 facing the interior mounted where the back compartment area is?
