Help: Engine Bay paint

Not like I am doing the painting myself, but I am providing the paint. I heard that you can't use regular paint in the engine bay because it will flake. So it was suggested just to use Rustoleum Spray Paint in high gloss to try and match the paint. Now I am a little sketchy about this, even though my friend did his hatch (in his crx) in this fashion, and it really looks nice. I was wondering if there was a specific paint meant for engine bays? I know one of the hardest things is to actually get the grease and oil off of the paint, maybe with some ?paint thinner? and a angled brush and then upgrade to steel wool. But is there better techniques, and tips, ANY PAINT?!? Any help is appreciated.
