Anybody here with an AVIC-D1 software installed in their car? Most likely it'll be FD's, because i've never seen it in FC's.

I have had the AVIC-D2 in my vehicle (updated maps from the D1), as well as many other double din radios. However, I do have an FC. Are you asking for pics or technical information? I have no pics, but I can probably help you with any questions you have about the product or the installation. PM me if that is the case.

for an FD, with the safety by pass, will that permanently leave the antenna up?

i have a d1 installed in my fd. It will fit but it takes some customization. Besides the obvious cutting of the divider you need to cut out the rear radio supports in the back for it to go in all the way, and youll have to slightly shave the surround so the plate sits flush. When its installed it almost looks stock and really nice. I love it

The antenna should only be up when the FM/AM is on, otherwise, the antenna wire doesn't get voltage. Of all the D1/D2/N1/N2/Z1s that I've installed, the parking brake bypass doesn't affect the antenna whatsoever.
