What's needed to fix my quarter panel damage

I'll let the pics do the talking. Just trying to get an idea of what will have to be done to fix this damage.

Thanks

More specifically, am I looking at panel replacement or can this be banged out? If I were to take a guess I'd say the lower damage is going to need to be cut but the big dent above the wheel makes me wonder. Any thoughts? Is this in the wrong forum?

The dent above the wheel can be pulled fairly easily.

The lower damage can be pulled somewhat, but most likely it will have to be cut out and a replacement panel welded in to place.

Your options are to either completely replace the quarter panel or you can simply cut and patch that lower area and pull the dent above the wheel. The quarter panel spans the area from near the door handle down to the rocker and all the way back to the tail lights and bumper. Replacing the entire quarter panel will have better results in the end if it is done right. There will hardly be any body filler used in the repair and the body lines should look really good.

I believe a new quarter panel at Mazda is around $500. You might be able to find a used one that someone cut off a salvaged 7, but after shipping and the fact it is used, it might not be a good buy. If you find a really good shop that can fabricate, they may be able to weld in a custom made panel in the lower area.
